Great Mind Gone & the Possible Induction of an Evil One.

Late Sunday night I saw on the news that a great icon had passed away at the age of 71. Yup George Carlin died at hospital after complaining about chest pains. Carlin was best known for his honest, intelligent and harsh comedy that overflowed with colourful expletives. He is considered one of the funniest comics of all time that has inspired many and just last week had been given the Mark Twain Prize for lifetime achievement in humor.

But although Carlin was a comedic genius, there was a great deal more to his comedy then just laughs. His word play, sarcasm, wit and knowledge of language were second too none. He was concerned about the many unjust issues we have in our society and belted them out to those who would listen.

When it came to politics he was as honest and relentless as ever and pointed out issues about things like war with his 'bigger dick foreign policy theory', stating that war is merely based on the ‘mines bigger then yours’ ideology. Although he was extremely brash and honest there was always a greater picture to be seen in his humour.

Author, professor, long-time Democratic and progressive activist and friend, Robert S. McElvaine states; "George Carlin was a thinking person's comic. Suddenly, in the midst of listening to his nonstop vulgarity, one would realize that he was making a very serious point about society, war, and human failings."

I was a little uncomfortable while watching his show one time with my parents when I was younger and he did his "7 Words you can’t say on TV." But that was just it he was trying to point out the irony in how rules and decisions are made in our society and how we can never stop speaking out against the bullshit we are fed day in and day out.

But I think McElvaine finished his letter best when he said to Carlin;
"You have enriched the life of the nation and the world--and that's no joke."

The Evil one; McCain’s chief strategist, Charlie Black, stated that the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in December saved the fossilized nominee (McCain) his win in New Hampshire. The fossil’s ability to ‘talk’ about the incident, which happened on the other side of the world, reemphasized that this is the guy who's ready to be Commander-in-Chief. He finished with "it really helped us." Wow he ‘talked’ about it.

Glad that the assassination of the positive and promising, female Prime Minster of Pakistan, helped out. The final bomb that the Republican asshat dropped when asked about if there was another attack on American soil; "Certainly it would be a big advantage to him," stated Black. Wow seems to remind me of some other president who stayed in office b/c the U.S. population was in fear after an attack on their soil.

Please no more of the same! It is written on the wall; DEMOCRATE FOR 08! You have to wonder what Black’s prayers are at night? Hope he dosen’t get his wish.
